Address Verification Service

The Address Verification Service (AVS) is a fraud prevention system that, when used effectively, can help to limit fraud and chargebacks. AVS works to verify that the address entered by the customer is associated with the cardholder’s credit card account. AVS is widely used in authorizing cards issued in the USA and Canada. To improve your success rate and reduce frauds it is advised to integrate AVS with international card payments.

AVS is available in Cashfree’s checkout page by default for all merchants where IPG is enabled. Please refer to the screenshot below for AVS screen on checkout page

In seamless integration, merchants are expected to pass customer billing address details in the order/sessions API as below

Import Export Code (If Applicable)
3 Invoices along with shipment tracking links
Last 6 months bank statements

Supported International Currencies

We support payments in various currencies on our platform, which allows merchants to charge their customers in their local currency. The order_currency request parameter in the create order API is used to define the currency in which merchant wants to collect payment. Use the below currency code values for the order_currency variable

By default, only INR is available. Write to [email protected] to enable new currencies.
