Disputes
Find all the information about disputes in this section.
Overview
A dispute is a situation in which there is a disagreement for a particular transaction that is initiated by your customer with the issuing bank or with Cashfree Payments directly. Your customers can also go to cyber cells to report fraudulent transactions. Suspicious transaction disputes are often initiated directly by banks.
There are several reasons your customers can initiate a dispute process, some of them are mentioned below:
- Suspected fraud
- Disagreements about the quality of the services or product
- Extra charges levied for your services
- The product is not delivered
- Suspicious transactions (unauthorized transactions)
We recommend you avoid and reduce dispute activity. Preventing disputes, and resolving disputes earlier minimizes the risk involved for your business. Also, a high number of disputes could lead to bank and card networks labelling your business as high-risk and can hold remittances for your business.
